Displaying the detail-oriented, stunningly efficient, team-first approach that had become their trademark, the San Antonio Spurs capped off a memorable season by sweeping a young LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers.

It was the Spurs fourth NBA Championship.

Parker dominated with an average 24.5 points per game in the sweep. It was the first Spurs championship that Tim Duncan wasn’t the Finals MVP. Parker became the first European-born player to win the award.

After the series was over, Tim Duncan was caugh on camera telling a young LeBron James “this is going to be your league in a little while.”
